Caronai Events plans ceremonies in Harare with respect for each family’s customs, preferred programme and way of working. We begin by understanding the date, setting, guest numbers and the responsibilities already assigned to relatives or the munyai. From there, we build a clear plan for the parts you would like us to manage. This can include the home or venue setup, tents and seating, décor, catering, photography, stationery, supplier arrivals and the timing around family proceedings. Elders and family representatives remain at the centre of the ceremony while our team coordinates the supporting work quietly. We can manage the roora as a standalone celebration or connect it with your white-wedding plans, keeping budgets, suppliers and guest information organised across both events. The result is a day that feels considered, welcoming and true to your families.
Before a white wedding is planned, there is roora. It is the ceremony where the two families meet, brideprice is paid and the union is recognised — and it deserves the same planning discipline as the wedding that follows.
We work quietly alongside the families and the munyai, taking on the logistics: the tents, seating, catering, décor, photography and the timing of the day. The elders lead the proceedings; we make sure everything around them runs on schedule.

Planned and coordinated by Caronai founder Tanaka before Caronai Events was formally established. The Harare Roora included family logistics, a styled backdrop, lounge seating, pampas arrangements and a fully dressed banquet table.
This event forms part of our founder's professional experience and was completed before Caronai Events was established in August 2026. It is not presented as a Caronai Events company project.

- How much does roora or lobola ceremony planning cost?
- Roora and lobola planning with Caronai Events starts at US$600 for full planning (A–Z), US$400 for partial planning and US$200 for event-day coordination. These rates cover up to 150 guests; larger events add a guest-count fee per extra 50 guests up to 500.
- How far ahead should we book our roora planner?
- We recommend booking three to six months ahead so there is enough time to confirm the family programme, venue or home setup and suitable suppliers. Shorter timelines may be possible when our diary and suppliers allow.
- What do you coordinate for a roora or lobola ceremony?
- We can coordinate family liaison, the programme, tents, seating, décor, catering, refreshments, photography, stationery, supplier arrivals and on-the-day logistics. Your elders and munyai lead the traditional proceedings while we manage the supporting details.
